Antithetical and Identical
This explores the dual nature of human personality through the lens of introversion and extroversion.
These states appear antithetical,turned inward versus outward and they coexist within the same individual.
They are fluid conditions that continuously shirt more than fixed condition.

This explores the dual nature of human personality through the lens of introversion and extroversion.
These states appear antithetical,turned inward versus outward and they coexist within the same individual.
They are fluid conditions that continuously shirt more than fixed condition.
What if shyness is not something to overcome, but something to understand, inhabit, and even value?
The pieces function as extensions of the body,protective, enclosing, and at times distancing.
The voluminous, translucent forms act as “bubbles,” creating a psychological space as existing and non-existing at the same time.
These bubbles suggest both protection and isolation. They allow the wearer to withdraw while simultaneously making that withdrawal visible. In this way, the garments embody contradiction: they conceal and reveal at the same time.
They do not fully merge nor fully separate. Instead, they coexist in parallel states, mirroring the internal negotiation between different aspects of the self.
Rather than framing shyness as a deficiency, this project considers it as a legitimate mode of being and a decision. Both introversion and extroversion are ways of seeking comfort, navigating space, and relating to others.
