We can live like poetry for a moment.  시처럼 살아라 .

The work began when I visited my home in Korea and accidentally read my mother’s diary.

I began to read her words not as documentation, but as poetry.

I have always been emotionally closed, and my mother is similar. After my father passed away from a heart attack, we never spoke openly about grief. I could only assume her condition without truly knowing it.

In her diary, I encountered a language I had never heard from her directly.

It contained loneliness, emptiness, regret, blame, apology, and confessions of incomplete love.

I began to read her words not as documentation, but as poetry.
It was her love story and poem.

The garments are constructed from collected photographs and fragments of family memory, scanned from the actual diary of Suk hee ( my mom) translated into textile prints. The fabric becomes a surface where personal history is carried and worn.

This was my own way of grief and reading a love story.

every touch should be poetic.

The forms are draped directly on the body, as if drawing emotion onto it.

The silhouettes are unstable, shifting with movement rather than holding a fixed structure.

Living Like Poetry

This project is both mourning and preservation. It is a way to understand my father’s life, my mother’s silence, and my own emotional distance.

Instead of remaining in a pessimistic state of grief, I approached each process as an act of poetry.

The title comes from the phrase

“We can live like poetry” 시처럼 살아라

For a moment, we can exist like poetry.
